Rochon was the sole child born to Zelma Staples. An entrepreneur, she is also Zelma's daughter's nurse specialist. Cerritos Senior High School, in Cerritos California is the place where Rochon was a student in 1982. In 1986, she graduated from California State University Dominguez Hill (CSUDH) with the degree of Bachelor's in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in Theatre and Sociology. Ullerup played Julia Brynn for the first time in Battlestar Galactica: The Remake in 2006 on the Sci Fi Channel. The actress played Ashley Magnus on the Sanctuary TV series during its initial season and the second one until the show was cancelled. Her departure caused heated debate among the supporters. A lot of people wanted the character back for a future episodes, but the show was cancelled in 2012. In the year 2016, Ullerup was cast as Bree O'Brien in Chesapeake Shores. Ullerup was Maggie Thomas as the estranged ex-wife of Michael Thomas in Asteroid: Final Impact. Ullerup plays the character in Dale Travers, is one of the recurring characters in Hallmark's Signed, Sealed, Delivered films since the year 2016.
